Langtang valley popularly known as the “valley of glacier” is the nearest Himalayan region from Kathmandu Valley. This trek offers an opportunity to experience the diverse flora and fauna of this region along with astounding view of the snowcapped peaks. The trek passes through verdant forests, high pastures, typical Sherpa villages and ethnic Tamang villages with their unique rich culture and tradition.
Langtang valley trek begins from Syabru Besi, a small town in the outskirts of the Langtang National Park. The journey continues through small villages, farmlands and verdant forest to Kyanjin Gompa. We climb the Tserko Ri which provides excellent view of the Langtang range and the peaks around.
Typical Itinerary
Today you drive to Syabrubesi the starting point of your trek. The drive is quite scenic along banks of Trishuli river with beautiful views of valleys, meadows, rivers and mountains. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
Today the trail goes along the Langtang river across forests of oak and rhododendron, verdant meadows and several Tamang villages, stunning vista of great Himalayan peaks and finally ascends through Rimche and end at Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
You begin with a gentle ascend above the Langtang Khola. The trail goes through rhododendron and pine forest with view of the Langtang Lirung and further up to the meadows of Ghoda Tabela. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Overnight in Langtang village
Today, set forth from the picturesque Langtang Village towards the revered destination of Kyanjin Gompa, marking a pivotal point in your journey. As you traverse the rugged terrain, be enveloped by the serene ambiance of the Himalayan landscape, where every step is a testament to your perseverance and determination. Upon reaching Kyanjin Gompa, take on the exhilarating challenge of hiking to Kyangin Ri, perched at an impressive altitude of 4,400 meters. From this vantage point, immerse in the breathtaking panorama of snow-capped peaks and sprawling valleys below, a reward for your efforts and a moment etched in the memories of your Himalayan escapade.
Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
After a hearty breakfast, you have the option for an exhilarating day trek to the summit of Tserko Ri. The trek takes around five to six hours and rewards you with awe-inspiring views of the Yala Peak (5,520m), Langtang Ri (7,205m), Langtang Lirung (7,227m), and Naya Khang (5,844m), among other majestic peaks. The panoramic vistas from Tserko Ri are truly breathtaking and worth the effort.
After enjoying the splendid views and capturing unforgettable memories, you descend back to Kyanjin Gompa, where you can rest and relax amidst the tranquil Himalayan surroundings. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
After breakfast retrace your hike back to Lama Hotel. The trail is mostly downhill past forest and villages with great scenic view. Overnight in Lama Hotel
Today we trek back to the charming village of Syabrubesi, we found solace in the traditional Nepali architecture and shared stories with fellow trekkers, creating cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Overnight in Sybarubesi
On the last day, the drive offers a picturesque views of terraced fields, charming villages, and stunning landscapes. As we descended, we left the high mountains behind, embracing the warmth of the lower regions. Arriving in Kathmandu, we concluded our journey with a profound sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the beauty of Nepal's diverse landscapes. Overnight in Kathmandu
Inclusion
- Airport pick-up and drop-off services by private jeep.
- Accommodation in teahouses (lodges) during the trek. (7- Nights)
- All vegetarian meals, three times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) along with one tea/coffee during the trek. One Item from the menu.
- One basic English speaking guide (Porter Guide) and two porters who carry up to 15 Kg each.
