Typical Itinerary
Today you drive to Syabrubesi the starting point of your trek. The drive is quite scenic along banks of Trishuli river with beautiful views of valleys, meadows, rivers and mountains. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
Today we begin our trek. It is a steep ascend until the view point that provides panoramic view of the Ganesh himal and Langtang Lirung range and then descends down until Goljung village. From here it is a gradual ascend until the village of Gatlang. Gatlang is a small traditional Tamang village on a hillside. Overnight in Gatlang village.
Today we head towards Tatopani, descend down to Thambuchet past several chortens and Mani wall on our way to Chilime. We cross a suspension bridge and continue us ascend through terraced fields until we reach Tatopani. We can enjoy a hot bath at the natural hot spring in Tatopani. Overnight in Tatopani.
Leaving behind Tatopani we trek through the dense alpine forest to the small Tamang village of Brimdang. From there we ascend to Nagthali viewpoint (3165m) which offers an extraordinary view of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Himal and other mountain peaks. From here it is a gradual decent to Thuman. Overnight in Thuman.
Today we head towards Timure village through the ancient salt trade route to Tibet. We descend down to the Bhote Koshi river and cross over the suspension bridge and continue along the Bhote Koshi river to Timure. Overnight in Timure
Today we continue to follow the trail upstream along the Bhote Koshi River until we reach Lingling. Then we gently ascend through rhododendron forest to reach the village of Briddim. Briddim is a small Tibetan influenced Tamang village. Overnight in Briddim.
Today the trail goes along the Langtang river across forests of oak and rhododendron, verdant meadows and several Tamang villages, stunning vista of great Himalayan peaks and finally ascends through Rimche and end at Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
You begin with a gentle ascend above the Langtang Khola but soon turns into a steep climb. The trail goes through rhododendron and pine forest with view of the Langtang Lirung and further up to the meadows of Ghoda Tabela. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Overnight in Langtang village
After an early breakfast in Langtang Village, embark on an adventurous trek towards Kyanjin Gompa. The trail presents breathtaking vistas of the Langtang Valley and the surrounding mountains. Arriving at Kyanjin Gompa, a charming Buddhist monastery, take in the serene atmosphere and immerse yourself in the local culture. In the afternoon, set out on an exhilarating excursion to Kyanjin Ri, reaching an altitude of 4400m, where you'll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of the Langtang mountain range. After a hearty breakfast, you have the option for an exhilarating day trek to the summit of Tserko Ri. The trek takes around five hours and rewards you with awe-inspiring views of the Yala Peak (5,520m), Langtang Ri (7,205m), Langtang Lirung (7,227m), and Naya Khang (5,844m), among other majestic peaks. The panoramic vistas from Tserko Ri are truly breathtaking and worth the effort.
After enjoying the splendid views and capturing unforgettable memories, you descend back to Kyanjin Gompa, where you can rest and relax amidst the tranquil Himalayan surroundings. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
After breakfast retrace your hike back to Lama Hotel. The trail is mostly downhill past forest and villages with great scenic view. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
Today you descend gently down to the river and through beautiful pine and Juniper forest and then it is a steep uphill climb to Thulo Syabru. Thulo Syabru is a beautiful Tamang village that has preserved the ethnic custom, culture and tradition of the Tamang people. Overnight in Thulo Syabru.
Leaving Thulo Syabru, it is a steep ascent with beautiful views of the Langtang and the Ganesh himal. The trail continues uphill through forests of Oak, Hemlock and rhododendron to the top of the ridge at Phoprang danda. From here, you trek on across the ridge and finally ascend to Shin Gompa. On this day, begin your trek from Shin Gompa, and follow the trail that leads you to Lauribina. The trek takes around 4 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscapes. As you ascend, you'll be captivated by the beauty of the Langtang range. Take breaks to rest and savor the serene mountain ambiance. Upon reaching Lauribina, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the high-altitude setting and prepare for the next leg of your adventurous journey. Overnight in Lauribina.
Today, we will set out on an exciting journey from Lauribina towards Gosaikunda Lake. The trail will take us through diverse landscapes, including rocky terrains and high-altitude pastures, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges. As we approach Gosaikunda, the atmosphere becomes more spiritually charged due to the lake's religious significance. Upon reaching Gosaikunda, we'll be captivated by the pristine beauty of the glacial lake and its turquoise waters, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

On this day, we will continue our journey from Gosaikunda towards Ghopte via the challenging Lauribina Pass. The trail will take us through rugged terrains, high-altitude meadows, and serene forests. As we cross Lauribina Pass, we'll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. The descent from the pass will lead us to the picturesque village of Ghopte, where we'll spend the night, enjoying the warm hospitality of the mountain community. Overnight in Ghopte.
Today, we will leave Ghopte and start our trek towards Kutumsang. As we continue on the journey, we'll pass by local tea houses, providing opportunities to rest and interact with fellow trekkers. The route offers stunning views of the Himalayan mountains and the surrounding valleys. Finally, we'll arrive at Kutumsang, a quaint village nestled amidst the natural beauty of the Langtang region, where we'll spend the night and recharge for the next day's adventure. Overnight in Kutumsang.
On this day, we will begin our trek from Kutumsang towards Chisapani. The trail will lead us through enchanting landscapes, including dense rhododendron and oak forests, as well as traditional mountain villages. We'll have opportunities to interact with the locals and experience their unique culture. As we ascend higher, we'll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Chisapani, we'll be rewarded with magnificent panoramas of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges, where we'll rest for the night, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of the mountain wilderness. Today is last day of the trek, we will trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal. The trail will take us through lush forests and picturesque landscapes, offering one last chance to soak in the natural beauty of the region. As we reach Sundarijal, we'll conclude our trekking adventure and bid farewell to the mountains. From there, we will drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying scenic views along the way.
